--smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 768\/1024;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of an oscilloscope is to monitor various waveforms.\u00a0 \u00a0 You can use an oscilloscope to check for noise or capacitance on a network, which will degrade the signal.\u00a0 If you use arduino projects, you can use the oscilloscope to monitor the pulse with modulation of &#8220;analog&#8221; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1211\/885;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most of my time assembling this project was for the analog board.\u00a0 \u00a0 The only reason this took me so much time was because I had trouble reading the color codes, and my multimeter was not ideal for measuring some of the higher resistance values.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0For this step, I actually used a microscope to determine the color codes.\u00a0 \u00a0 These color codes show the resistance value, so they can properly be placed on the board.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1544 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/bryceautomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/DSOwaveform-1-e1521848857472.jpg\" alt=\"Waveform\" width=\"966\" height=\"685\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/bryceautomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/DSOwaveform-1-e1521848857472.jpg 966w, https:\/\/bryceautomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/DSOwaveform-1-e1521848857472-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bryceautomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/DSOwaveform-1-e1521848857472-768x545.jpg 768w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 966px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 966\/685;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, there is a little bit of noise on the signal, but for $25, I definitely can live with that!\u00a0 The DSO150 Oscilloscope is small enough to fit in your pocket, and is a handy tool for troubleshooting lower frequency signals (Less than 200 KHz).<\/p>\n<p>If you do a lot of work with electronics, I would recommend checking out the post on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bryceautomation.com\/index.php\/2017\/11\/08\/mk-328\/\">MK-328<\/a> meter as well!\u00a0 It&#8217;s another handy tool to have in your electronics lab!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;
